Beth and Kevin’s Yorkshire Dales Wedding

Today I have a wedding video to show you that is close to my heart!

I first met Kevin 8 years ago when he was a Personel Trainer at LA Fitness in Leeds. My wife (then Fiancee) and I hired him to get us both into shape for our wedding in 2006. He was far and away the best PT we ever had and he got us quickly into shape! Since then we have stayed good friends.

Kev and Beth’s wedding took place at Yorebridge House which is high up in the Yorkshire Dales with only endless miles of back country roads as access but its more than worth it as the setting is beautiful!

Every element of the wedding was perfection and done to the highest of standards. It was also a nice suprise that they had booked a photographer I had always wanted to work with in Brett Harkness. Brett is well known in the industry as not only one of the best wedding photographers in the country but is also well know throughout Europe and beyond. Check out his website, his work is stunning!

Beth looked amazing and was a lovely Bride to work with. The day was fun but also very emotional which i tried to convey in the video. Take a look at the highlights video below and see for yourself!

Lenik Wedding Films were fortunate to film at the amazing Dundas Castle in Scotland earlier this year for the wedding of Laura and Barry Best. First of all I have to mention what a lovely couple Laura and Barry are. They were so easy to film and really co-operative.

They started the day getting ready at a nearby hotel with Laura then heading onto Dundas to get her final preps sorted whilst Barry enjoyed a game of snooker with his Groomsmen. Their Ceremony took place in the ‘Old Keep’ of the castle and is one of the most stunning ceremony rooms I have ever filmed.

For the Master of Ceremonies they decided to go with the traditional (for Scotland anyway!) bag pipes player who did a brilliant job of moving to the day along. Everything about this wedding was perfect and was definatley worth the 8 hour round trip ‘up north’ from leeds.

For Barry and Laura the wedding was just the beginning as for their Honeymoon they embarked on a year long adventure around the world, Im hoping they are in a good wifi area so they can watch the video!

Hope you enjoy watching the wedding highlights video!

Tony and Tonya – Ardverikie Estate Wedding

Earlier this year ‘Lenik Wedding Films’ were lucky enough to shoot the wedding video of Tony and Tonya. We embarked on a 7 hour long journey from Leeds to Inverness (Scottish Highlands) to shoot at the amazing Ardverikie which is most famous for being the set for the Monarch of the Glen tv series. It has however also been used for lots of films such as ‘Mrs brown’ and more recently ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’ starring Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt.

We arrived the night before the wedding to catch up with Tony and Tonya for a pre wedding interview of the couple. What is amazing about Tony and tonya is how open and honest they are, which made me feel like i have known them for years and I instantly felt like one of their friends.

The wedding was amazing and full of emotion. I loved filming their wedding and I hope you enjoy watching it!

Geneva Wedding – Jenny and Kevin

Here we have our very first Destination wedding video. We were so excited when Jenny decided to fly the Lenik Wedding Films team over to Switzerland to shoot her amazing wedding!

We arrived the day before the wedding in order to scout out the locations and get our exterior shots of the venues using our 6m jib and new purchase electronic glidetrack. It was also the first time we shot on our brand new camera, the Canon 5D Mark 3 which had arrived with us the before our flight so we had lots of new toys to use!

Jenny and Kevin were so lovely and really looked after us booking us into an apartment in the city centre as well as arranging our hire car (which was well needed with all the equipment we brought with us!).

The day started off with covering Jenny getting ready in a stunning hotel in the old part of Geneva and Kevin getting ready in their apartment along with their beautiful little daughter. They got married in a lovely little church in ‘Jusse’ a small village close to Geneva.

The reception was held at an exclusive golf club close to Geneva which had amazing view’s of the mountains. The speeches were epic and emotional and Jenny had put so much effort into every little detail. They had a cocktail bar set up during the reception as well as a live jazz musician.

In the evening they had a euro pop/funk band which had everyone dancing all night!

We are so pleased with the final outcome of the wedding video especially the highlights which showcases our new wedding highlights edit style see what you think!

Sikh Wedding Birmingham – Raj & Dav

This blog post has been a long time coming, this our most epic Sikh Wedding video to date spanning over 3 days. We covered the whole wedding using a 3 camera person team. My sister Gemma(who has been filming with me for 3 years now) my full time in house editor and camera man Rob and myself spent a total of 4 days in Birmingham covering the Civil wedding day (Highlights film from this day to follow in another blog post) the pre wedding parties and the main Sikh wedding day. We also worked with good friend and amazing wedding photographer Cris Matthews whom I have since worked with on many wedding (including an upcoming wedding in Lanzarote!). On the day Cris brought along another great friend and photographer of mine Hayley Ruth.

Here is a link to a photo slideshow Cris put together of his photo’s from the 3 days http://crismatthews.com/blog/2011/10/18/dav-raj-3-day-sikh-wedding-photography/

I was more than happy when Dav and Raj booked me, not least because I knew they would look amazing on camera, a very good looking couple indeed! They are both really lovely down to earth people and were so easy to work with. We had no Bridezilla moments whatsoever and Dav was very chilled and calm throughout the 3 days wedding days.

We set about using our full arsenal of equipment ranging from a 6m jib, glidetrack, ladder dolly, 3 x 5d mark 2′s and a car camera mount as well as making use of our video lights for a night time bride and groom shoot.

It was an epic edit taking over 4 weeks of actual editing time but for me it was worth it as I’m really happy with the end results. We produced a 50 minute edit of the Civil Wedding day plus a 7 minutes highlights video, a 30 minute edit of the pre wedding parties and ceremonies, a 1 hour long edit of the main wedding day plus 10 minute highlights edit. On top of this we also provided the Sikh ceremony in full mulitcamed edited together plus the speeches in full again multicam edited.

Im not going to make you watch the whole wedding video edit but here is the 10 min highlights video for you to enjoy. As usual please leave any feedback, it’s always nice to know what you think.

Harry + Alice Sevier – Osmaston Park Wedding

Almost a year ago we filmed the wedding of ‘Laura and Leander’ at Osmaston Park, we were lucky enough to come back this year and film the wedding video of ‘Laura’s’ brother, Harry Sevier to his beautiful bride Alice Wingfield-Digby.

Osmaston is truly an amazing venue to get married made even more special for Harry and Laura and its owned by relatives of Harry and he grew up with many happy memories of it.

The challenge for us was, how do we shoot the venue and surrounding area differently to last years wedding, and I think we managed to pull it off. Harry and Alice’s wedding was stunning with some beautiful touches.

We loved filming the wedding video of Harry and Alice, they were both wonderful to film and very friendly and it always helps us when you can see 2 people who are very much in love which really does come across on the film.

Hope you enjoy the wedding video highlights!

If you find playback is stuttering a bit, click the HD button so its grey and it will play back in SD which will then play smoother depending on your internet speed.

Fran and Will’s Wedding (3 Albion Place – Leeds)

After travelling to Scotland, London and more recently, Geneva to film weddings it was nice to actually get to film one in my home town of leeds. Fran and Will live in Chapel Allerton in Leeds which is only 5 mins from my mums house so felt very local. The wedding reception was held at city centre venue 3 Albion Place.

It was a great wedding made even more special because Will is a huge Leeds United supporter (like myself!). You can see Will and Fran are very happy together however its wasnt written in the stars as Fran was a Manchester United fan, thankfully Will managed to get Fran to switch loyalties and become a Leeds Fan!

Continuing on tradition from our previous post we are now showing you the full edited main wedding movie as well as the highlights video so you get a better idea of what your final product will be like.

On this shoot their was myself and my sister Gemma working as camera operators. We used 3 cameras where possible (ceremony, speeches, first dance). We also used the glidetrack as well as radio mics, video lights etc….

Hope you enjoy watching the wedding videos and please leave your comments!

Somerleyton Hall Wedding

Today we have the wedding video of Christine and Eric. Somerleyton Hall is a stunning venue and I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier couple to spend the day with. Everything went to plan (except for a rainy patch which quickly subsided).

I had the pleasure of working with my future brother in Law for the day, Steve, who carried out 2nd camera operator. We were able to put all of our equipment to good use by getting a wide variety of shots. The equipment we used on the day consisted of 6ft Jib (the shots where the camera starts high and moves to ground level), the glidetrack (the left to right/right to left movement shots), car camera mount (the flying exterior shots). Along with all this we used 3 DSLR HD Video cameras as well as radio mics and a wide variety of lens’s.

Whats special about today post is that we are not only showing you the highlights video, we are also showing you the full wedding video edit so you can see what a full wedding video edit looks like.

Laura & Glyn – Clearwell Castle Wedding Video

This wedding was one of those days when everything went to plan…..and the results make for one of my favorite ever wedding video’s to date.

We were only booked a few days prior to the wedding date due to their original videographer having a mix up with their diary dates and double booking them! We happily stepped in and took the job on.

Laura and Glyn are an exceptionally lovely couple who have been together since school and are very much in love. They were both so accommodating on the day and really put in the extra time for us to get lots of great Bride and Groom shots.

Here is the video….hope you like it!
